Okay, so I received a purity ring from my parents for my confirmation this May and I want to know if I can get it blessed by my parish priest or are there any rules against this. Thanks!

I think that would be a lovely thing to do! I am sure any priest would be happy to bless it for you.

A very sweet idea and when you are a 62 year old, like me, it will be a very warm memory. My DD, aged 30 now, was confirmed in third grade, the year after First Holy Communion. I understand the historical context, but 8th grade was much better since the 13 year olds at least understood the concept of being a true warrior for Christ.
