Blessing articles at the Papal Mass

I was able to record the Papal Mass in NY. It was amazing! At the end of the mass the Holy Father blessed any religious articles that people had brought with them. Would that blessing apply to those of us watching on tv at home? It sure would be cool if it did. But I understand if it doesn’t.

Just wondering. Thanks!
 
I believe that if you watch something live (i.e the Daily Mass on EWTN or a LIVE Papal Audience) that the blessing will apply to a person but not to items. I think I’ve read that some where on these forums before. But I don’t think the blessing applies to a person or an item if the blessing was recorded and watched at a later time.
