Blessing for a priest!

I know it’s not life-threatening, but could I ask for prayers for my parish priest on his holiday/vacation? It’s 50 years since he left England at age 10. Some parishioners kindly gave him a return ticket to go with his only brother for around three weeks. He’s such a generous person, with a wonderful spirituality and humanity, and he really deserves this. I just want to ask if you could pray everything goes really well for him and his brother, that they and their luggage etc will be safe, and that they’ll have a wonderful time together, full of blessing and joy…that it will be the trip of a lifetime for them both.

God our heavenly father,
hear our prayers and watchover
this priest and his brother on vacation.
Be their guide and protector on their journey.

Lord, protect them from accidents, and keep
them free from harm to body and soul.
Help them to be patien in any trouble which may
come their way. Keep them mindful of your presence
and love. Grant this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank you each so much! He’s so thrilled about it! It is so great when any of our priests receive some special consideration or kindness or reward. They deserve so much.
