Blessing from a Deacon

I recently had a glass crucifix of mine blessed by a deacon. Does the blessing of a deacon have the same “efficacy” of that of a priest? Would it be okay if I had it blessed once again by a priest?

If an object is blessed, it is blessed, it doesn’t matter if it is from a deacon, priest or bishop… the “efficacy” is one and the same through the Church. All three Orders have the power to bless objects. It would be superstitious for you to have it “re-blessed” by a priest. Would you have it blessed a third time by a bishop?
