What is the purpose of a priest asking members of the congregation who ar not Catholic to come forware for a blessing ?
Indeed what does it actually do if we have our rosary or house blessed by a priest.

Welcomes sacrament of baptism or ‘santificying grace’ in to your home.

a catholic/orthodox priest can come to your home with a manual prayer book and say certain prayers and blessing -

then go throughout the home sprinkling/swishing the blessed & sacramental water.

Good question. Why would a priest ask God to Bless a sinful relationship? It would almost be condoning the sin.

I was saying elsewhere that this is happening in England.
Catholic Priests in Soho , London are blessing same sex unions.
This kind of thing sickens me, because Archbishop Vincent Nichols knows full well what is going on and he allows it.
