Blessings

A friend of mine went to a different parish during Easter time as they were out of town. He was furious when he came home. he said that during the Mass when it came time for the Congregation to go up and receive a blessing that the Priest blessed the first person in line and then everyone turned around and blessed the person behind him.

This does not sound good to me.

Can they do this?

Why are we getting more and more protestant? Well not we but misguided parts of us. Its sooo sad. Just because we’re all equal doesn’t mean we can all perform the same function, so whats up with all these lay blessings, overuse of extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, lay homilies. EEEP
