blogging?

Wordpress allows me to have it private but the people looking at it have to have a wordpress account and the limit is 35 people, and I have to add their user name to allow them to see it… I don’t mind the limit, but I pref (if there is any place like this) for people to be able to see it without having to register…

Which ones did you mention? I am on blogger.com and can only find an option for them not to have my blog on their listing, but it can still be accessed through the internet. I just don’t want to open an account with every place until I find one that can be password protected. I’m not sure which blogs you mentioned, does wordpress offer that? I can’t find a post on this thread with you mentioning blog places… Did I misunderstand?

Well here’s the long way to go about it - which is what I did.
I made 3 or 4 blogs to see what the different options on the providers were - it seems really difficult to figure out without doing this to me, but it’s highly possible I’m missing the obvious.
blogger, homeschoolblogger and wordpress all have various privacy options. however, it varies. Most you can make a blog entirely private with a password or you can make sections private. Or it can be all open but not open to exterior commentary. Some show this up front. Some just have a wee little option off to the edge right before you publish or as you make a section.

That’s what I want… do you happen to know which one I can do that with?

You can use livejournal for that. When you make a post, there should be an option that says: “Public”, “Private,” or “Friends.”

If it’s set for public, anybody can read it.
If it’s set for friends, only those on your friends’ list can read it.
If it’s set for private, I think only you can read it.
 
homeschoolblogger, and wordpress both have those options - I think blogger.com did too, but I’d have to go back to see.

If you are considering ever a VOCATIOn, be weary of blogging. My friend told me that a certain vocations director asked him if he has his own blog, cause if so, they would have to check it out, look at it, examin it::eek:
 
Blogging is a fun way to put whatever you want out there for the world to see. I have had a blog for about a year now. Its definitely a chance to be creative and interact in the blogosphere.
I wouldn’t worry about the vocation and blogging mixture. If your blog stays true to Church teachings then there isn’t anything to worry about.
 
I have a LiveJournal for fiction and illos (not to mention typin liek a kitteh), and I think the site allows you to block people you don’t want reading it.

Seriously, LJ is not nearly so scary as myspace and it tells you when there’s a response you your post.
 
Does anyone know of some good blogging sites that are easy to use. Right now I’m using tumblr 😦 I’m a photography major I want to post my shots so that I may use my photography as a way to Glorify Christ.
