'Blood miracle' protects Naples

I am going to reason something before the cynics arrive…

In 1980, San Gennaro’s blood failed to turn to liquid.
Not long afterwards 3,000 people died in an earthquake at nearby Irpinia.

How could the person, if this was staged, know that a catastrophy would occur and wouldnt ‘play the trick’?

Apparently this could be one of those unsolved mysteries that only God knows.
