but if they bother you, STOP listening to them.
I have a relative who is like your Dad ā€¦i.e. a conspiracy-theory-affectionado.
Listening to his rants almost took all the fun out of it for meā€¦but not quite. šŸ˜ƒ

I like seeing and watching theories about aliens, ufoā€™s, area 51, end of the world, but once they start pointing their finger at the Church then i just turn it off.

P.S. I know that the Bible says that no man will know the day or the hour of Godā€™s coming, but he isnā€™t predicting Godā€™s coming, but perilous times that are about to befall America in the coming months.

What are you so worried about? The world ends for one person or another every single moment of every day. You need not search for apocalyptic scenario for this. Live in Christ and be free. Live joyfully to laugh at your lunatic fatherā€™s rantings another day. Iā€™m sure he will forgot how he was wrong this time, and bring it up again - this is the M.O. of these types of false prophets and conspiracy chasers.

One more thing that may help, when I was going through my anxieties over this stuff, I realized that maybe this was a wake up call from God telling me I was too attached to the world and that there were things in my life that I needed to change.

Also, as Catholics, we do not hold a premillennial view of the end times. Nor do we take as literal a meaning from the signs mentioned in the Bible. Reading a good book from a Catholic perspective can help also like:

Well, hearing this did sort of frighten me, especially when I read that all 4 blood moons would be seen most visibly in America.

I work with Jewish clients and see the American Jews as very influential, very well educated, and very much defenders of individual freedom, no judgement of people, and free choiceā€¦event hough many would not abort their children. They have great impact in Hollywood as well as Congress.

And the Jewish calendar, having studied the Jewish calendarā€¦a littleā€¦I see the 4 blood moons a sign for the American Jews rather than anyone else.

The sign for us is our Mass and sacraments and the lives of the saintsā€¦to be faithful and live our faith fully.
