Pax et bonum!
If the Blood of Jesus is Jesus then are we also our blood?

Huh? No one said the blood of jesus IS jesus, the eucharist is NOT just Jesus body and blood but also his soul and divinity that is why we say that the eucharist IS God and why we can legitmately practice eucharistic adoration.

The risen Lord Jesus Christ is wholly present, body, blood, soul and divinity, in either Eucharistic species. Though the transubstantiated bread is referred to as “the body of Christ” and the transubstantiated wine is referred to as “the blood of Christ” for emphasis, to remind us of his sacrificial death on the cross when his body and blood were actually separated from one another, these references should not be understood so as to exclude the transubstantiated bread from also being the blood, soul and divinity of Christ nor the transubstantiated wine from also being the body, soul, and divinity of Christ.

On the other hand, our blood is just one part of us, not all of us.

The incarnation made possible something that had not been possible - that God could be “separated” (gaa - how limited language is to describe these things). That bits of flesh and blood could be separated from Our Lord’s body and left behind on the scourging room floor and beneath the Cross.

When a lamb was sacrificed, the blood was drained - separated from the body. In human form, this could happen to Jesus as well (and it did).

In his glorified form, this is no longer possible. It is not possible to separate the Blood of Christ from Christ himself. Thus, the Blood IS Jesus. The Body IS Jesus - the two cannot be differentiated.

This is why the Church teaches the doctrine of concomotance - that Jesus is FULLY present under both Species (bread and wine) - and not only in Body and Blood, but in Soul, Humanity, and Divinity (ie, EVERYTHING that IS Jesus). This is why we receive ALL of Jesus when we receive under only one kind. You cannot receive half of Jesus. Consuming two Hosts does not mean you get double-Jesus.

This characteristic was not so during Jesus’ earthly life, and likewise it is not so for us during our earthly life.

What are you confused about?

It was possible, during Jesus’ earthly life, to separate his blood from his body (just as it is possible to do so for us).

It is not possible to do this now - his blood cannot be a separate entity. Thus, his blood IS Jesus, because the blood cannot be separated from Jesus - they are one and the same.
