Is anyone else watching this series? I am soooo happy that there is a series out there that is not filled with smut, and they are actually portraying a Catholic family in a positive light! Granted, there is a divorcee and Frank has had outside-of-marriage encounters, but all in all I think this show is awesome and respectful.

I’ve seen an episode or two. It does seem very interesting.

I guess it’s rerunning currently? It’s on CBS I believe. I will try to catch it!

hi,
I have watched it and i like it very much.
I think it is a good potrayal of a catholic family.
There’s always something to learn or appreciate on watching that big family.

I watch it. It is very nice to see this kind of portrayal of a close Catholic family. I love their Sunday dinner scenes. So honest and real.

This is one of my favorite TV shows. All of the characters are people one can relate to.

It’s a GREAT show. My wife and I are hooked.

One thing I like about it is that it has some insights into human character you rarely see on TV, including the impact of using violence, the frustrations a parent has with a sick or injured kid, among other things.

Always been a Tom Selleck fan and sorry he has been a second-class citizen in Hollywood due to his politics, but at least we get to see him in shows like this.

I think the “out of marriage encounters” are those of his PR guy but that’s beside the point. What Catholic family has not tread through the same vale of tears? The show is unique among the vast wasteland of secular propaganda that dominates the small screen. It is my favorite series program. Almost every show is a morality play. Did you catch the one on the various manifestations of anger? It ran the range from righteous to malign and mild to deadly. I almost wonder if they have a theologian on staff.

I wonder if Tom Selleck Catholic? There was a poll recently on the Blue Bloods website I believe on whether he should shave his mustache. I voted for him to keep it!

No, he’s not Catholic, and has been known to say he is “not particularly religious”, though he apparently had some sort of affiliation with the Disciples of Christ.

Thanks for the information! He’s one star that seems pretty private, I actually don’t know much about him off hand.

I still think he should keep the moustache. 🙂

Donny Wahlberg is Catholic, to my understanding. I’m not sure if he is practicing or not.

I agree. I am watching it right now.
