I’m trying to find a history of the Bohemian region before during and after Huss that is not written from a protestant perspective. Either a stand alone book or part of another that gives detail.

I’ve read one once before I cannot locate now.

Not really looking for a Catholic Apologetic work just a work that isn’t all mushy protestant, and more on the things happening not so much theology.

Any suggestions ?

I hesitate to even post this, because I’m quite sure that some will accuse me of mockery, but the signature song by Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, is actually rooted in topics of Bohemian theology. There is scarcely a single line of that song that does not relate in some way.

But I rather doubt this is what you were thinking of.

“Mamma mia, Mama mia!”

The information I know came from my grandfather. His dad came to the USA from what was then called Bohemia in 1863. The once very Catholic country was moving very far away from its faith, and they were constantly in trouble with the Protestant faction.
Just one of the reasons they left for the USA.

My great grandfather was a composer of music where he lived in the USA. Wrote Farewell To Gay Bohemia. I have a copy of it and it was recorded by a friend onto a DVD.
Love listening to it.

Anyway, just a little note from me.

Thanks. I’ll keep hunting as I know I’ve seen the book I want before… I just can’t find it again and lost the name.
