Boiling holy water

Hi everyone! No im not talking about the joke .

Is it ok to boil holy water then consume it. I wouldn’t want to drink stale holy water. Boiling the water would kill the bacteria etc. Would it be sacrilegious to boil holy water?

Say if you spill holy water and it evaporates it renders it unrecognisable. Boiling holy water does make the water unrecognisable other than a small amount of evaporation which in its own is a blessing.

I boil my holy water too and I know many that also add holy water to their cooking.

Would it be sacrilegious to boil holy water?

why don’t you get the boiled water blessed ,i think boiling blessed water is sacrilegious ,ask a priest to confirm. because blessed items shouldn’t be tampered.

There is usually blessed salt added to the water during the blessing of holy water. (Sometimes a lot as I had nice white salty marks on my shirt and forehead.)
