Bones found in church wall are 7th century saint, scientists say

That skull on the right contains a strange nose cavity and set of rye sockets! Shades of E.T.! In the middle skull, depressions where teeth have been are roughly parallel to where lines across the forehead would be, but in the skull to the right, the teeth depressions are angling upward, more perpendicular than parallel. Spooky!

As a result of this news I have researched a little more and found the website relating to this project. Much interesting information to be found there;


It has prompted me to again dig out my “Detectorist” DVD`s for a few nights of wonderful comedy. It is an unusual series but apparently geatly enjoyed by those “in the know” in the USA.

I find it deeply moving to think that we can venerate the bones of a saint who was the granddaughter of a Merovingian king and who knew monks that came to Canterbury with Augustine

Lol! But what on earth did the species covering that skull look like? It must have been one strange humanoid!
