Yep, and when the modern day kids of today start getting older and hit their 40’s, then what? They will probably be complaining about the modern music at that time and how they would prefer to have their mass in the music they like.My son (16) and I both enjoy punk rock (my 13yo daughter, not so much), so that is a great example. We still go to Mass with gregorian chant. We have been to Lifeteen and folk-style Masses in the past, but we find them lacking.
I think it would be great to have such music in a teen fellowship group separate from Mass.
There is nothing wrong with glorifying God in anytype of music, these are just ‘traditions’ traditions are not the same thing as the word of God, traditions are human made. We are not going to lose salvation if we give up some human made tradition.
