My dad is very anti-Christian. However, he is much more friendly to Catholicism than he is to Protestantism. I’m trying to think of a book to get him for Christmas. Does anyone know of a book that doesn’t directly make the case for Catholicism but can make someone think about it? A book that really speaks to the heart. For example, maybe a biography or something like that.

If he’s an intellectual, maybe something by Michael O’Brien, like Father Elijah. Otherwise Orthodoxy by Chesterton, or maybe the Father Brown mysteries. Or Peter Kreeft .

If he’s ok with the original CHristians (Catholics) then how about a history book of the time of Christ?

Trent Horn’s new book “Why We’re Catholic”. Peter Kreeft’s “Jesus Shock”.
