Has anyone read this book by Andrew Hodges? I just got it, but can already tell by leafing through that I’m going to find it very interesting - even if I don’t agree with some of it. Obviously its fiction, but I think the author is tapping into something we tend to overlook: the humanity of Jesus. Its hard to deal with - he was after all God. But, if we really believe in the Trinity, and who / what Christ was we have to acknowledge that as a full human he may have done, said and felt things we don’t associate with “God”. Perhaps when I finish I’ll give a review…

I caution you not to “Know” Christ after
the flesh, that was what the Disciples who
ate and slept with him had to get away from
because He has shown them by many con-
vincing proofs that He was who He claimed
He was… God Incarnate, “Immanuel” God
w/ us!!!

I understand those concerns. This book in no way takes away from Christ’s divinity. Anyone who reads this will come out of it a more committed Christian, not less.
