Enoch is Cains Son…well one of them is…The Bible has more then one.
As far as the book goes. It is an old text that is only used by one Jewish group and one Christian group. It was not put into the Jewish or Catholic Cannon. The Catholic Church did not use it as they derived the old testiment from the Greek text. The same one Jesus used, which is why it is not in the present Catholic Bible. Since it is not in the new Jewish Cannon it is not included in the Portestant Bible since they adopted the Hebrew text that was written after the Greek version.
St. Jude quoted the book of Enoch and even said that Enoch prophesied, as he says
14 It was of these also that Enoch in the seventh generation from Adam prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord came with his holy myriads, 15 to execute judgment on all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness which they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”
My theory is that the book of Enoch is a compilation of oral traditions that trace back to Enoch, probably not all word for word, but at least some of it, especially the part that Jude quoted. The reason I say that is because Jude was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write that down as Scripture, and it is the Holy Spirit that chose those words to quote from Enoch, so that quote is reliable and came from Enoch regardless if anything else in that book did. Many of the apocryphal writings have a mixture of accurate oral tradition and pious legends. So I have no doubts that the part that Jude quoted comes from Enoch, but as for other parts of the book it may not be so reliable, which means that the Holy Spirit working through the Catholic Church chose not to add the book of Enoch into the canon.
