Hamadan, Iran is where ancient Ecbatana was, the city where the tombs of Esther and Mordecai are situated. Daniel’s tomb is at Shushan/Susa. (I was married to an Iranian. Her grandmother was a Jewess from Hamadan, who married a Zardushtí (Zoroastrian) from Yazd, and they both undertook service to Baha’u’llah’s family.)

Now we see another drama unfolding between Iran and Israel. The fiendish mullahs have been scolded many times by the parliaments of the world, and the UN, not only for their atomics programs, but because of their hideous human rights record, and threatening Israel. Why do they hate the Jewish return so much, when it was promised in books that Islam recognizes? It isn’t the Palestinian issue. It is because of the Baha’i World Center and sacred Shrines that were located there even before the State of Israel existed in 1948. They think there is money and politics between the two entities, but only on a cordial level, since partisan politics are not practiced by Baha’is anywhere, and funds are oly accepted from enrolled believers voluntarily.
Another important Jewess who married a Persian king was Rahab bint Pinchas, from the line of Rehoboam ben Solomon ben David ben Jesse. She wed Cyrus the Great. Isaiah calls him ‘anointed’ because he conquered Babylon and freed the Jews to return to the land of Israel.
Their son was Sasan, the ancestor of the Sasanian dynasty which ruled during the time of the Arab invasions. I mention this because Bahá’u’lláh was descended from the last king of that dynasty --Yezdigird II, which means that He is a descendent of both these great kings. I will try to find out more relevance to you and others.
