Book of Sheet Music?

I’ve been trying to teach myself keyboard and wanted to get a book of Catholic Hymns to learn. Does anybody have recommendations of collections of Catholic Hymn sheet music?

You might speak to the Music Director at your parish. Parishes receive sample copies of Music Issue books, or they may have spares that are not in use.

Thank you, that’s a good idea, but I’d like to get my own copy rather than borrow.

Find what you like online. Most good Catholic hymns are old enough that they’re in the public domain.

I just ordered a Grand Motet by Joseph Mondonille. I’m hoping to buy one of Porpora’s works too. Not sure if that’s something you would be interested in.

From someone whose wife is a musician and a music teacher; you might want to get a basic piano book first and learn the basics. Some of these hymns are musically involved.

Also they are generally cheaper.
