Hello, I’m somewhat new here and I would like some recommendations on a good, theologically sound, book on dealing with a dysfunctional family.

Years ago I read “Bradshaw On The Family” and while it had some good insights, the author is an ex-Catholic with an axe to grind and his grudge is fairly visible.

However, it was easy to read and I’m looking for something in a similar vein, but pro-Catholic. Any recs? Thank you.

Hi, I am also interested in such a book. I myself have read:

Healing The Child Within: Discovery and Recovery for Adult Children of Dysfunctional Families by Charles L. Whitfield, M.D.

I don’t know much about him but that he is a physician, psychotherapist, and internationally recognized expert on mental illness, behavioral problems, and recovery.

The book was very insightful.

So let’s see if someone else has any Pro-Catholic recommendations.

Thank you for the book recommendation–I’m going to order it!
