Hi,
A good friend of mine is a cradle Catholic. However, she waivers on things like homosexuality, birth control, and annulments and feels that the Church loses lots of people because they are too outdated. Recent Church scandals have weakened her trust in priests and religious.
We discuss/debate these regularly. She has joked that she belongs in a Protestant Church (and I’d hate for her to leave). For her birthday, I wanted to give her a good book on solid Catholic principles relating to current issues. Something that could help her to see that the Catholic Church’s doctorines always have been the same and always will be, and that will help her to see that mistakes (and scandals) are because of imperfect humans within the Church, not because of the Church. Not sure that I can find this is one book, but I was hoping for some good recommendations. Anyone have suggestions?
God Bless,
Georgea
