Book Recommendations Needed

It will be my mother’s birthday in two weeks and I intend to buy her presents as a good daughter should. She has asked for one of three types of book:

• Books of poems about the sea
• An annotated version of The Hobbit focusing on the Christian symbols
• Anything by Pope Benedict

Based on that, what books would you guys recommend?

I’ve read volume one of “Jesus of Nazareth” by the Pope and its pretty good.

I haven’t read it and it seems a commentary separate from the novel, but you can decide based on the reviews.
