Book Recommendations

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knows of any books that offer a Catholic approach to disorders such as autism, asperger’s syndrome, etc.? There doesn’t seem to be many resources based on what I’ve found, and it’d great to know cause I think I have A.S. and other things, but I’ve also got a brother with autism.

I have AS as well and would like to know the same thing as you… I have 2 nephews with severe Autism and I would also love to know if there are any books out there that deals with Autism and spirituality … thanks for posting this

My son has autism. I have not come across any such books yet. There are some sacramental prep materials for use with preparing autistic children for Reconciliation and First Communion (published by Loyola Press I think). But nothing like what you have described. If I ever write a book, I’ll let you know. I agree that it would be valuable. I’m still towards the beginning of the whole thing, though.
