Can people recommend any books that look at the re-emergence of the traditional Latin format I guess under the reign of JP II? In particular I am interested in;

a) the distinction between the Tridentine Mass (prior to Vat II) and the Mass of Pope Paul.

b) the rising of conservative monopoly on orthodoxy.

c) the notion of Mass as Sacrifice and Mass as Eucharistic Celebration

d) the positioning of the alter and Blessed Sacraments…

e) “traditional Catholic teaching” and traditional theology versus Catholic teaching and theology…

These are some of the themes in positions I have seen taken in these postings, so I want to do a bit more homework on this…any suggestions?

Hello all, does anyone have references to books etc., that outline the re-emergence of the traditional mass on the catholic landscape? Still waiting…
