I wasn’t sure were to post this.
I was wondering if anyone had any book suggestions for this lady? Below is her post so you can have a better idea of what to recomend.

DH is an atheist, so we have had many discussions about this !! I would describe myself as a believer in God, although I don’t regularly attend church I do believe that there is a God. I went to a Church of England School and went to Sunday School until age 18 when I left for University. I got married in church (DH was surprisingly fine with this, he said it didn’t matter to him where we got married , and, as it meant so much to me, was prepared to do it). I also got both James and Sam baptised.
Ok, so my discussions with DH about religion have got me thinking about “why” I believe. DH claims that I believe because I was taught to when I was young. And, I can see some element of truth in this. I remember at school being taught historical facts alongside religious beliefs, e.g, that Henry V111 lived and so did Jesus. When I was teaching school, as it wasn’t a church school, things were different, e.g, Henry V111 lived and some people “believe” that Jesus lived. So, maybe I believe because from such an early age that is what I was taught??
Also, I know that part of me likes to believe that there is a God and Heaven as it’s comforting and I need to feel that there is something after and that we will all meet our loved ones again. DH’s stand on this is that I’m using religion as a safety net, he basically believes all religion was created and is maintained in order to make people behave in certain ways.
Anyway, if you’ve gotten this far, thanks
