I’ve been really interested lately in the various heresies that the Church has had to deal with throughout her history, especially the ones from the Early Church. Does anyone know of any good resources - especially print books - where I can learn more about them, and Church arguments against them?

Hilaire Belloc’s “The Great Heresies” is a good place to start.

I have a book called Scandal of the Cross and Its Triumph by Bob and Penny Lord, edited by Dr. Jeffrey Mirus, who founded Trinity Communications (which in turn runs CatholicCulture.org) and Christendom College. I haven’t read it yet, but I’ve seen some of the associated TV programs on EWTN. According to the back cover, an unnamed reader called it “a Handbook of Heresies, in simple to understand form.” Might be worth a look.

ISBN 0-926143-15-8

I’m reading Dissent from the Creed by Richard M. Hogan. He uses the Creed and the Catechism to explain false teachings. Easy to follow. Give it a look.
