Be careful – the Church is our Mother, and also the Bride of Christ.

Mary is our Mother too, but in a different sense. And when She speaks through private revelation, it is the Church as Mother that guides us in its interpretation.
I am careful. God sent his Mother to warn us. I believe Our Lady. The Pope has approved the Private Revelation of the Miracle of the Sun. The Miracle of the Sun was witnessed in front of 70,000 persons.

The problem with Father Gruner is that he has had a bad habit of bringing conspiracy theorists onto his radio programs and publications. It’s not as bad as it used to be, but there’s still an undercurrent of conspiracy theorizing. I grew up listening to his radio show and I used to have nightmares about the Russians invading America and killing my parents. Well, the Cold War is over, but he’s still going on as if it were.

Nice2000: OK – any Catholic should agree with your last post. I meant be careful because Protestants take a revelation from God (the Bible) and interpret it as they do because they are “certain,” despite it being in opposition to the Vatican (sola scriptura).

I wouldn’t want you to take a revelation from God (Fatima) and interpret it in a way opposed to the Vatican because you are certain, either. 🙂

Fr. Gruner is indeed leading people astray because he is teaching that the Vatican is wrong about something that it has clarified time and again. He may not be teaching heresy, but he is bordering on schism. Look up the difference between those two words.

Fr. Gruner has been disciplined by Rome, but refuses to abide by that discipline. The Church is our Mother, and he is no different than a whiny pre-teen who insists that he is right.

The Remnant is well known as a publication that also holds schismatic views, a la Archbishop Lefebvre. Read the following web page, especially near the bottom:

Father has been disciplined and he is treated WORSE than than the many scandals committed by priests who abused children. These same priests, back in the day, was shuffled to different parishes by corrupt bishops. In other words, their silence of this scandal confirmed the evil that existed within the clergy. Let alone of the fact that many abused children LOST their faith due to this. How much more scandalous is that? Father Gruner is a holy priest although disobedient. He lives his priesthood like no other. He lives simply not so with many of our priests who eat, drink and be merry.

He is not alone though. Padre Pio also was discipled by the Vatican, and more than once, and told to go to his cell and not be in the presence of the public.

Sister lucia was also gagged…at the same time as Padre Pio. What’s up with that? The difference between Padre Pio, Sister Lucia and Father Gruner is this: Padre Pio and Sister were obedient under the gag order. Father Gruner is not.

You can read my notes taken from Socci’s book: The Fourth Secret. Socci is not part of Gruner’s apotolate, although Gruner’s apotolate endorses it. Socci admonishes the Fatimists for their hostility at times bordering on very hateful judgment. Socci is very respectful of the Vatican. His book is VERY balanced and is documented to the hilt. He also believes the Vatican is holding out. JP2 tried to reveal the Secet but the prelates would not let it happen. Also, the bishops in the world do not obey him as a whole.

Here is the forum that I typed many quotes from the book: enjoy!

It was Our Lady who asked for consecration of Russia so that its ills would not spread to the world. Alas, it hasn’t been done…so…we are experiencing much atheistic secularism. Even, the christian countries…😦

Keep the Faith is the largest distributor of Catholic mp3 audio downloads and Catholic audio tape cassettes in the world.

It offers hundreds of sermons and lectures which include devotional talks, spiritual retreats and theological topics for priests and laymen; home schoolers and converts; students, teachers and catechists; the devout and the “doubtful”!

The site states: “All of our carefully selected material explains and defends the Infallible teaching of the Holy Catholic Church with complete fidelity to the Magisterium and the Holy Father.” This is only partly true, as there are questionable links to sites that support the SSPX and speakers such as Michael Davies and Christopher A. Ferrara.

While this site has many good resources inexpensively available, we can only recommend it with reservations. Unless you are aware which speakers are solidly supportive of the Magisterium, there exists the danger of confusion.

Here is a group I've had some experience with, **America Needs Fatima**.

They state that "America Needs Fatima is not associated in any way with Father Nicholas Gruner or his quarterly publication, The Fatima Crusader."

At one of their home meetings/presentations, I purchased a book Jacinta's Story. It is beautifully illustrated, though a bit long for a children's book. I would also recommend Meet the Witnesses. Both books are available from

We know that Sr. Lucy gave her approval that Russia was properly consecrated, and she was a living witness to the occasion.

Pray the rosary! Our Lady of Guadalupe, protect America and lead us to your Son!

At any rate, Cardina; Stickler, who was very close to the Pope, confided on November 26, 1987 that the Pope had not been able to perform the consecration, he would have wished ‘the bishops do not obey him.’ And this leads to the intuition that perhaps there is already in progress a silent schism with respect to Catholic truth. Or—as De Lubac said—that Protestantism has triumphed within Catholicism. And the great sign of contradiction is inevitably Mary—who, as the Fatima event demonstrated, hears and assists Popes in every way. Mary is the the ‘vanquisher of all heresies,’ as Cardinal Ratzinger underlined in Maria, Chiesa nascente (p19). P206

The visionary has affirmed (very probably thanks to the apparition of 1985 of which Cardinal Bertone has also hinted) that this act spared the world a catastrophic war that should have erupted precisely in 1985. Naturally we find ourselves on a supernatural plane and thus there is no historical ‘document’ containing this ‘news’. However there are surprising clues: It is startling to reconstruct the situation during the months between 1984 and 1985 in order to understand what happened. P206
  • And here is a disturbing explanation: ‘Given the anxiety of the holy Father, concerning the consecration…and, on the other hand, the scandalous hostility aroused by his request for Episcopal participation in the solemn act of 1984, it can be deduced with moral certainty that until now one thing in particular has impeded the holy Father from ordering the bishops of the universal Church to unite themselves with him in the consecration of Russia: his fear that it could really provoke a formal schism.’ P205
That there was a beneficial intervention of the Madonna, therefore, is what the Pope and the church think. And also Sister Lucia, who then questioned concerning this by Thirty Days, declared: ‘I am completely in accord with what the holy Father has said…I believe this involves an action of God in the world, to liberate it from the danger of an atomic war that could destroy, and an insistent call to all humanity for a more lively faith. Nevertheless, neither she nor the Pope (JP2)has ever maintained that the promise of Fatima has been realized: there is, in fact, not a trace of the ‘conversion of Russia’ and true ‘peace’.P210
