About Christians killing each other, that was primarily with the great fracture of Sola Scriptura.
I feel ‘killed’ when someone says I believe in abomination. It hurts me most profoundly and I know it is a lie. I am not a believer in abomination.
The Church teaches and nurtures. But when it comes to holiness, we are all on our own…we are accountable to God for our own sins.
There may have been conflicts in some countries and dioceses…but this was not happening universally. So you can’t stereotype Christianity by what happened 300 years before Joseph Smith.
