How do we know from the Bible that the books we say are written by Matthew,Mark, Luke and John was in fact written by them

There is no way to know from the Bible that those books were written by the authors you mentioned.
 
How can you know anything? The book of Proverbs verse 1:7 states “The fear of the Lord is the beggining of knowledge, but fools dispise wisdom and discipline. It is the Fear of the Lord that empowers me to know and " Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Holy Scripture is the Word of God.
 
technically no man wrote any book in the Holy Bible for it was the Word of God and the Lord wrote through the authors
 
Short answer is “Because the Church says so”…😃

But in truth, we don’t know who the human authors are per se, we only know that the essential author of all the books is the Holy Spirit.

Some tools like literary style help scholars indetermining authorship. For instance the style of Hebrews calls into question whether it was penned by St Paul because it is so different from the other epistles written by him.
However the letters of John clearly match the style of the Gospel of John so it is very likely they awere all written by the same author.

This is one thing that never bothered me when I was looking into Christianity, and finally decided on the Catholic Church. Whether Matthew’s Gospel for instance, was written by Matthew himself, or by one of Matthew’s immediate followers using Matthew’s teachings, or by a Christian Church established by or inspired by Matthew’s teachings, it does not matter to me. The Gospel according to Matthew is written during the apostolic age when, either some of the apostles or their immediate successors are still alive and has authority in the first century Christian Church! I can have faith in its teachings because it was vetted by the early Church and was part of the later NT canon, based partially on its authority and its wide usage in the early first and second century Churches. 👍

There is in fact much textual evidence that the sacred authors of the Gospels are who they say they are, and that they mean exactly what they claim about Jesus, despite what many Historical-Critical scholars will tell you. I hold to Matthean authorship of Matthew, Markan authorship of all of Mark, Lukan authorship of both of his books, and Johannine authorship of the fourth Gospel. This is impossible for scholars who have fallen for the late dating of the Gospels. The traditional early datings, as well as the traditional Matthean priority, with survive today’s critical scholarship, intent as it is on undermining the divine claims of the sacred scriptures, such as the virgin birth of Jesus, and His physical resurrection.

Here is the path I walked. I held a strong conviction that a God who is Holy, Just, loving etc etc at some point in human history or future becomes a man. Jesus was the obvious choice.

I read the new testament countless times. Then I read the Old testament and found that the man in Jesus could not be the same being that is quoted as God in the old testament.

I will never forget reading of the God Commanded Genocides in the old testament. My thoughts… Jesus that is so out of character. I have now come to the inevitable conclusion in defense of my conscience that the bible is not the word of God and them that claim so are either mentally ill or fundamentally evil.

So the answer to your question about the books in the bible… Who cares. The very concept of scripture as the innerant word of God is Idolatry. Instead read the scriptures to look upon the mind of human civilization not the mind of God. God is Good and Holy and upright. God would never give the order to slaughter children as the bible blasphemously claims.

The bible is the single most blasphemous book to ever see print.

The veracity of the books of the NT are based on the moral integrity of the authors.

you simply echo what marcion’s position was in 2 BC. marcion was a heretic and was excommunicated by the Church. watch what you’re saying about God of the OT for Jesus and the apostles quoted often from Scripture. Jesus also said that “I and my Father are one”.👍
