Books on Apologetics

[sami1066]

Hi all, I have never read or been interested in apologetics before, so I bought a book “Handbook of Catholic apologetics” by Peter J. Kreeft, Ronald K. Tacelli and it is really intense. So I bought “Reasons to believe” by Scott Hahn. What are you thoughts on these books?
Also the series Catholicism??

Handbook of Catholic apologetics is actually geared more towards general Christian apologetics rather then Catholic apologetics.

I’d recommend starting out with this: amazon.com/Beginning-Apologetics-Explain-Defend-Catholic/dp/1930084005/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1333439318&sr=8-2

Very simple, basic, and in an easy to read manner

Try Karl Keating’s Catholicism and Fundamentalism (amazon.com/Catholicism-Fundamentalism-Attack-Romanism-Christians/dp/0898701775), and treat yourself to the three-volume Rumble & Carty’s Radio Replies (amazon.com/Radio-Replies-Three-Volume-Set/dp/0895551594).

Some older golden gems to consider:

“The Catholic Church and Conversion”, “Orthodoxy”, and “The Everlasting Man” by G. K. Chesterton.

“Where We Got the Bible: Our Debt to the Catholic Church” by Fr. Henry Graham.
