This ties in with my separate but within society thoughts. I am looking for books on both the Catholic Worker and Catholic Land movements.

On the Catholic Land movement, I have read:
And I have the following on my “to buy” list:
There is another book, but one of it’s authors (if it is the same person I am thinking about) is a very disagreeable even within his own group)

On the Catholic Worker Movement, I have not found anything substantial.

In both cases, I have not found anything on modern and practical application of both movements. I am thinking more on how to set up, especially in a more rural area.

I think combining both and using an distributist economic model may be a good way of setting up such a community.

In place of a book you might want to examine back issues of The Catholic Worker, the newspaper published and edited by Day.

Day was one of the ones I looked at, but it seem to end there in many cases. I am looking for other sources to add on to. I have one book that talks about the Catholic Workers movement and it is actually used by the author in his class he teaches at the University of Dallas.

I am actually hoping he responds over on a yahoo group I belong to.

Someone on another board suggested “America Magazine” for information of the Catholic Workers Movement. However, I remembered a lot of bad things about the magazine due to its former publisher Fr. Thomas Reese.

Does anyone know if it has improved since then?
