What are your book recommendations for anyone who is just new to the Catholic faith or want to renew and deepen their faith/spirituality? Any suggestions are welcome. :). Thank you.

Wow! That’s a loaded one. 🙂
Of course a good Bible and getting into the habit of daily reading. I suggest starting with the Gospels.

Books!
I highly recommend subscribing to the e-newsletter at Bible Christian Society by John Martignoni.

Beginning Apologetics Volume 1

Radio Replies: Classic Answers to Timeless Questions About the Catholic Faith

Treasure in Clay: The Autobiography of Fulton J Sheen

The Protestant’s Dilemma

How to Share Your Faith with Anyone

Where We Got The Bible: Our Debt to the Catholic Church

Surprised by Truth

Divine Mercy in My Soul

There is a metric boatload of other great things to read, but this is just the ones off the top of my head. 🙂

👍👍

St. Augustine’s ‘Confessions’.

‘The Robe’, by Douglas Lloyd. (Catholic fiction).

‘God of Surprises’, by Gerard Hughes.

‘The Little Way’ - about St. Therese of Lisieux.

Most of these book and many others can be purchased at the Catholic Answers web site. catholic.com, I think they have a sale going on through July. As well and lots of other information. God Bless, Memaw

Can I also say that Catholic Answers ship things very quickly. Granted, they may not get to your house as quickly as an Amazon Prime account would permit.

… but they also package their books very well, and not merely in envelopes that are about seventeen sizes too big for your book. 😛 Oh, the many books I’ve ordered that have arrived banged and bruised because of silly Amazon. 😦

In fact they do!

I just ordered a subscription to their magazine and the first issue has already arrived. I am impressed!

I’d like to second (third?) the recommendation for Introduction to the Devout Life. I wish I would have read it years ago, and it’s just as easy to read and accessible as if it was written today.

If you’re just getting started, I wouldn’t dive right into Confessions. There are several St. Augustine readers out there that pull key passages from his works.

The Beginning Apologetics series is good, but apologetics can cause you to have a somewhat combative view of faith if it’s a large part of your diet.
