I don’t think you should characterize these photos as “explicit,” especially since you have not seen them. Take the OP at her word that they’re romantic and beautiful in nature and leave it at that.

And if other people rummage through your stuff when they enter your home, that’s their problem and they should be doing business elsewhere. That kind of behavior would be extraordinarily unprofessional. I’m sure it happens and I’m sure many people get fired for it too. I’m also sure that it’s their problem and their sin, not the homeowner’s.

I don’t think that’s a huge concern. I don’t see why a carpet guy or cable guy would be over before the house is cleaned out, much less snooping through the top shelf of the couples closet. I’m sure there’s a one in a million chance that if they were left alone in the big empty house they might go searching for something, but its very unlikely. Besides, who leaves a stranger alone in their dead parents’ home?

According to Blessed John Paul II, we do have to watch out for lust in marriage. Christopher West does a good job explaining this as well. Simply put, do these pictures help avoid lust or incite it? What are the purpose of ‘pin up’ type pictures? Is taking pictures of oneself in underwear ever a good idea?

To her I am sure they are. To various internet sites they will be viewed quite differently. Kind of like the photo mat processor that sells pictures of children in bathing suits and bath tubs to kiddie porn sites.

20-30 years ago it wouldn’t have been nearly as big of deal. The worst you would have had to worry about is “some guy” getting a hold of them and that would be the end of it. Now days you could find yourself center of some sicko’s website with links to various social networks that thousands could find and view.
