Oh my Mannyfit! It seems your quotes show the early church was opposed to venerating images! How can this be a tradition from the Apostles!?!?!
The Council was concern about excessive use of Icons or images. That is why the Council did not allow images. If you look the Council of Elvira was in 306 A.D.

You however failed to realized that during the first Century Christians could not read. Images were widely used.

There are even catacombs that show images of a Man tending his sheeps.

So tell me, why were there images in these catacombs?

Once again, having pictures does not mean you venerate them.
Can you provide a link for the picture though, I want to check the date and where it is from.

This mid-3rd century catacomb painting shows one of the most recurrent themes in Early Christian art: the Shepherd carrying a sheep, (John 10:1-21;Luke 15:1-7 and 11-32). The Shepherd represents Jesus who will search lovingly for even one wandering Child of God and rejoice when it is found.
this says mid third century not 100 AD

So, back to the question I’m asking protestants. Do you, or do you not, ever bow your head on the Holy Bible? Do you ever kneel in prayer? Do you ever kiss the Scriptures? If you do, (and I believe every sincere protestant will have to admit that they have done this) how is this different/better than the Catholic practice of veneration of the Mother of God, and the Saints?

Does that mean you do not have any pro veneration quotes from the early Christians?
Interesting and valid question. I am looking into it:) But as it appears to be off topic to the OP and the discussion they wish to have, I will make a new thread when I find what you are looking for assuming it exists.
