Has anyone read Boxers and Saints by Gene Luen Yang? They are two graphic novels that explore both sides of China’s Boxer Rebellion. They do a good job exploring the role of Christianity in China at this time. St Joan of Ark and Jesus play large roles in the plot.

I know that its been a while since you first posted this, but just consider this a bump…

I too would like to know if anyone else out there read these and what they think about it. I just found out about these books today. I have not read them, but I am curious about it.
 
I have not read them, but I did find reviews from 2 other Catholic writers. One of them (Mark Judge) writes for CNS (Catholic News Service), which is generally considered an orthodox site. And the other writer (Julie Davis) writes for Patheos, which at least from the few articles that I’ve read from the Catholic portion of their site, seems ok. But I’ve read from another CAF member here, that the articles there are only as good and orthodox as the writers are.
