Have u ever brought him hunting?
Good point. Many hunters wear nylons to help them stay warm. My BIL is a hunter, and he and his hunting buddies swear by them. He layers nylons, long underwear, UnderArmour and this hunting jackets and such. Very effective against the cold.

Nylons are so fun for little kids though, and when you’re young and garments are oversized, well, that just adds to the novelty!! 😃

My little girl used to wear daddy’s shirts and boots 😛 we have photos, it was very cute. My boys used to wear mommys formal dresses as superman capes 😛

Children do silly fun things, its normal!

I wouldn’t worry about it. When we were small, in the 50’s, my now very masculine cousin and I used to put on my grandmother’s Playtex rubber girdles, pull them up over our knees so our legs couldn’t move, then proceed to jump from the bed to the chair, back and forth. We thought it great fun. It was like being mermaids.

My grandmother, however, could not figure out why her girdles kept tearing, and she used to patch them up with rubber tire patches:eek:

Anyway, when my husband has had to work outside on below freezing weather, he would to put on pantyhose under his long underwear to keep warm. He got the idea from another electrician.🙂

Be thankful it’s only pantyhose! I remember my sister telling a story her friend told her - my sister’s friend had two boys. One day (they were about 9 or 10 years old) she left them home while she went to the store.

In those days (more than 40 years ago) sanitary pads had loops at each end so you could hook them onto a type of belt. The boys took their mother being out of the house as an opportunity to explore her bedroom dresser and, of course, found a package of pads. They had no clue what they were, but, with their excellent imaginations, quickly decided that these things would make good masks for a game.

Imagine my sister’s friend’s horror when she returned from the store to find her sons playing in the street each with their toy guns and a sanitary pad across his face, with the loops around their ears!! 😃

Pantyhose! No big deal!! A child’s imagination will suggest many uses for our everyday things that would never occur to us, and they will also lose interest in these items, sooner or later, without any harm to them.
ROFL, this reminds me of an ad they’ve been showing on Australian TV.

So true…

ok, but…take them out of the wastebasket ??

Children operate on the “other people’s trash is my treasure” mode. It probably makes them MORE enticing.
ROFL! I can remember as a small child that one of my favorite excursions was to a junkyard. I couldn’t understand why people would throw out such , to my mind, “good stuff.” I was not allowed, however, allowed to bring any of it home.

I agree that he probably likes the texture – when my son was real little, he used to stroke my legs at church when I was wearing hose – I would have to keep pushing his hand away, LOL!

Also, my mom (who has been a nanny for 25 years) has observed that a lot of kids go through a stage where they like to wear very snug or tight clothes. She thinks some kids just like that “secure” feeling, being all snug.

I wouldn’t worry, as long as he’s not wanting to wear girls clothes for real.

I know a retired special forces soldier who, in cold environments, wore panty hose under his combat gear. He told me it was more comfortable, retained heat better and breathed better than anything he’d ever tried.

Of course, this was before products like under armour existed…but still.

LOL :rotfl: That must have been a sight!

Anyway, I wouldn’t worry about it. Kids explore and play with anything at that age. He’ll grow out of it eventually.
