Boycott Liam Neeson?

Boycott what? Episode 1: The Phantom Menace? I boycotted that years ago as soon as Jar Jar Binks appeared in it…

Liam Neeson has a made a few really good films and alot of ****. Schindler’s List and Darkman(a cult superhero classic) are my two favourites. Although I joked about it above I actually enjoy The Phantom Menace.

I have no intention of boycotting his past films, it would be mad to boycott Schindler’s List just because he played the lead. But I know he’s not really producing his best work as an actor anymore so I don’t watch his films anymore anyway. The last I saw was 2005’s Batman Begins.

To a degree, films shouldn’t be the victim of the Actor’s private views or life. For example I still watch and enjoy the Mission Impossible films even though I lost all respect for Tom Cruise as an individual the moment he “jumped the couch”.

I remember Darkman. That was quite a while ago - in fact I think it was Neesom’s “breakout” role?

Everyone’s forgetting “The Chronicles of Narnia” movies where he is the voice of Aslan.

Yes, it is certainly sad to see him throw his support behind such a legislative initiative. He’s not the first Hollywood celebrity to do so and will not be the last. We can boycott his movies, but then we should be prepared to boycott most everything else coming out of Hollywood with actors and actresses (and directors and camera operators and music composers) who donate to Planned Parenthood, speak out in favor of gay “marriage”, etc., etc.

If someone wants to do that, more power to them. It seems rather inconsistent, though, to only get incensed and choose to boycott those few who are the subject of LifeSiteNews articles.

I am sure he is struggling with the loss of his wife and the loss of the Mother of his children and being a single Dad. I am sure he misses his wife. I don’t know if Natasha was Catholic or even if Liam has been a practicing Catholic his whole life, but I am sure the sudden and tragic loss of his wife made him question many things about God.

I knew she was part of the Redgrave family. I didn’t know what part of Ireland he had grown up. He and his wife appeared to be made for each other although I suppose she had a much more privileged childhood than he did.
