If you get emails from the Catholic League, you’re already aware of Miller’s sponsorship of this gay pride event:

folsomstreetfair.com/

One of the performances at this event features a group called “The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” who will perform a mock Last Supper, a slap in the face to Christians everywhere.
My friends and I have quit buying Miller Brewing Co.'s products(which you can see here), and I encourage all of you to spread the word about Miller’s activities.
Please take the time to contact Miller Brewing Co. and let them know that their sponsorship of this event is extremely offensive and represents an attack on Catholicism.

Excuse me but I find the Church’s position on the whole issue of homosexuality to be indefinable. Now we are ask to boycott Miller Brewing because they are spending advertising dollars to sponsor a social event for gay folks. They want to sell beer, not promote sin or attack Catholicism. Remember now, it is “Hate the Sin but Love the Sinner”. Can’t we all just get along?

No, they want to sell Miller, which looks like beer, but in reality is an inferior imitation.
…not promote sin…
The folsomstreetfair.com/index.php isn’t about promoting sin? I don’t think you’re familiar with this particular celebration of sado-masochism and sodomy. It isn’t about much more than promoting sin.
…or attack Catholicism… Can’t we all just get along?
Apparently not. Quote from OP: One of the performances at this event features a group called “The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” who will perform a mock Last Supper…

I am contacting Miller brewing company monday. They haven’t gone far enough in saying they are going to conduct an audit in their marketing policies. The boycott needs to continue until they agree to never sponsor that event again.

The fulsom street festival is the very depths of depravity straight from the lowest echelon of hell. Kind and mercifull Jesus have mercy on their souls! Please wake them up so they don’t have to eternally see where they are getting their inspiration from.

Lord have Mercy!!!

There’s an anonymous person named Zombie who has a website where he or she (Zombie is very anonymous) goes to events in the SF Bay area and takes pictures. Recently Z posted some pictures from the Folsom street fair and you all - what goes on there is way more than just, “hey I’m gay” pride. There is lots of nudity, open sex, lots of sadomasochism and sales of sex toys shaped like Jesus, Mary and the saints. It’s perverse. You can find Zombie’s site by Googling it. But it is not safe for work. I looked at it and spent most of my holy hour this weekend praying for the poor souls who are caught up in that lifestyle.

So why then do they not sponsor Catholic events? There are WAY more potential Miller-drinking Catholics than homosexuals.

Dittos to the previous posts about Z; this ain’t about beer, tjm8.

And agreed, mlchance; calling Miller’s product “beer” is a stretch. If you don’t boycott it for the sponsorship reason, at least try some other beers and see what good beer is like.

Remember, beer is proof that God loves us very much and wants us to be happy. 😉

Boycott is taking on steam, look at this link from the Chaldean coummunity in Michigan - click then scroll down.

**Michigan, USA - Chaldeans are outraged at the deliberate attach on Christians by San Francisco and the Homosexual Fair organizers. “This is a group that behaves appallingly and if anyone objects to their criminal behavior they call you intolerant and try to charge you for a hate crime,” says Brian Thomas about the fair. “These hypocrites mock and attack Christians with such violence and hate and yet no one in San Francisco cares to uphold the law. The fraudulent leaders of San Francisco have no values, no principals, and no idea of how harmful they are to the United States.” **

For Mike and Rita Setto, owners of Orion Keg and Wine Party Store, the constant attack on the Christian faith and family values from the media and support by corporations has gone much too far. In what seems to be a reenactment of David versus Goliath the small business owners were the first to toss Miller out of their establishment. The bold move has earned the faithful family thousands of calls, coverage by top news agencies, requests to be interviewed on radio and television, and visits from out-of-state customers congratulating the faithful duo for taking a stand. …

… Mike and Rita took action after watching the incident covered on the Fox News channel late one night. “I turned to my husband and we were shocked over the story,” said Rita Setto. “We were really upset and could not sleep. A few days later my sister-in-law calls and tells us to watch Bill Donahue on the Catholic Channel giving the details. What we saw and what Miller supported upset us very much. My husband and I decided we would no longer sell Miller in our business until they stop.”

They are in business to see as much beer as they can to anyone who will drink it regardless of person. That is standard practice for pretty much all businesses.

For how bad Miller Lite is, their Leinies brand is very, very good.

How many Catholic events have you seen that promote drinking of alcohol? I have yet to see any. Most Catholic events do not want to be affiliated with open sponsorship of alcohol. Even Theology on Tap, while often set in a bar, leave it up to each person to come to buy their own beer or other drink.

I see nothing here but the Catholic League over-reacting over nothing (no surprise there  ) just to get attention for themselves. They do this so often they sound shrill and petty, and turned off pretty much everyone.

Thanks! I saw this and started laughing so hard I fell out of my seat at work… Truer words were never spoken… I think 90% of the Catholics I know are beer drinkers…serious beer drinkers at that… we way outnumber the homosexuals!!!

I can’t stand beer; all bitter and heartburny…blech! :nope: A nice, fruity cocktail, on the other hand. :bounce:

Myself I don’t drink, anymore that is, but It appears that **tjm8 **has never been to a Bingo night at my Parish:rolleyes:

By the way to tjm8: it wasn’t just a “gay” folks event but alot other sexual deviants were included in this “leather” event; done in public and in the open where children had access.

I’m a little late, but I just wrote the BEST “I can’t believe you!” letter ever to Miller BC for sponsoring this event.

Thank you for making me aware of this.

Bennie, me neither… (drinking that is)…but I totally know what you are talking about… you should have seen the St Patty’s Day beer fest at the parish I grew up in… they advertised that they would have kegs of Green Beer…

Oh… saw some pictures from that event… people had kids in strollers watching guys in leather chaps grabbing other guys body parts…:bigyikes::bigyikes:on the streets no less!!!

You’ve never been to St. Pat’s Irish Fest in my home town. It’s held every year in the Church parking lot and has a huge beer tent with a variety of beers available for less than you’d pay in a bar. Plus many Knights of Columbus councils who own their own meeting hall have a bar in them (but this is becoming less popular due to the expense and liabilities). But this reminds me, I should suggest to them that they stop serving Miller products and write Miller a letter telling them why.

"Now it’s time for everyone who enjoys Miller beer to resume consumption again.”

Yeah, both of them. 😃 😃 😃
