Well, I saw him today and he was very, very, very, very nice, which is pretty much his way of saying “I went too far yesterday, I’m sorry.”

In other words, he never actually said he was sorry. You’re just inferring that to give him the benefit of the doubt. You’ll be doing that a lot.

You sound like a woman who is teetering on the brink of choosing the wrong man. This could bring much heartache later. You really do deserve better. Why settle for a man who wants you to abandon your Catholicism? Find someone you can see as a good husband 100% of the time.
