It’s worth a try, isn’t it?

Can you prove that the bible teachs OSAS? I feel confident I can prove that it does not.
The criminal crucified next to Jesus made a statement of faith and died before being baptized, yet was told, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

But what would Jesus know about that anyway…😛

HOW, in the name of all things holy and Nixon, is this related to OSAS?

How is God’s mercy anything to boast of 😦 ??? What room could there possibly be for that ? God’s mercy is not a human achievement - it is an utterly undeserved free gift. It is not something one earns for being good, but something granted because one is desperate need of it because one is an enemy of God. There is no room here for any boasting of any kind whatever, but only for thanksgiving to God & for glorifying His Son. The idea that one can boast & brag because God has for His own gracious purposes saved damnable wretches from the eternal punishment they so richly deserve, is entirely misplaced :(.

I’m talking about KNOWING what God thinks, whether we are heaven-bound or not. Only God knows who is entering heaven or not. That’s not something man can know because claiming to know is claiming to know what God is thinking and therefore, being equal to God. 😦

Oops. Can’t help you there. My Protestant church does not subscribe to OSAS.
Can I ask why not? I haven’t encountered too many Protestants that don’t accept that as true. :o

A deathbed repentence is not the same as OSAS.

And I think we’ll both agree that Jesus had more information than we would in the same situation.
