1. Super human strength.
  1. Speaking languages that have never been taught to the subject.
  2. Having access to hidden knowledge, that the subject could not possibly know.
Um . . . . I think it would be pretty cool to have these powers, frankly. Like, if you carried some kind of mutant gene in your DNA that gets activated when you need them most.

spells are usually rubbish as the British say, unless the person involves a demon. people have no magic, demons do have what passes as magic in our minds.

a very rare thing I should add.

sorry to say,i didn’t say she is possessed, did i ? it was your assumptions, let me make it clear

There are different types of spirits influence on a person, inclinations, obsessions, infestations complete possessions, there can be normal persons doing their to daily activities, but yet be influenced by the spirits because of the practiced occult ,breaking of the first commandment is a grievous mortal sin.If a sister in Christ is ask for an opinion don’t i have the love and concern for help ? we are all influences in some way or the other by the evil spirits,we have to pray for that,in some cases a exoticism is required their’s is nothing wrong with it.

Deuteronomy 18:9 When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you must not learn to imitate the abhorrent practices of those nations. 10 No one shall be found among you who makes a son or daughter pass through fire, or who practices divination, or is a soothsayer, or an augur, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who casts spells, or who consults ghosts or spirits, or who seeks oracles from the dead. 12 For whoever does these things is abhorrent to the Lord; it is because of such abhorrent practices that the Lord your God is driving them out before you. 13 You must remain completely loyal to the Lord your God. 14 Although these nations that you are about to dispossess do give heed to soothsayers and diviners, as for you, the Lord your God does not permit you to do so.

It was the opinion of the op and she has the desires for an exorcism, what wrong with it,

Exorcisms on the rise: Occult activity sparks ‘pastoral emergency’

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, all forms of “divination” – anything that involves recourse to Satan or demons, or that attempts to conjure the dead or reveal future events – are to be rejected.

From CCC paragraph 2116: “Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone.”

The Catechism continues the warnings in the following paragraph against any magic or sorcery or occult activities, called “spiritism.”

Yes, long before I went to confession, I threw them away already. I have blessed oils that I bought from the churches here. I use it when I am signing of the cross (if I remember it LOL) then I pray. I didn’t know what OP meant, but thanks to you, I learned that it is Original poster. Haha!

To everyone who shares their advices, thank you very much. I sincerely appreciate all of your help.

And to others, please do not do what I did before, it is a mortal sin. It didn’t help me to have a peace of mind, it made me stay away from God and become superstitious in all what’s happening to me. I USED to believe in good luck charms too. It didn’t help me to get a job. Yes, I didn’t harm nor have the bad intentions to others but I truly hurt God. I know He has fully forgiven me. Yes, I am still struggling now being unemployed, but at least I am not asking any help from black magic.

It was not my assumption that you said “yes, strongly recommend the need of a pious priest to do an exorcism.”

Yes, I am still struggling now being unemployed
St. Joseph is the patron saint of unemployed people. I posted a prayer from day 7 of his novena below. Google it if you want to pray the entire novena, and I pray for the success of your job searching.

Saint Joseph, you devoted your time at Nazareth to the work of a carpenter. It was the Will of God that you and your foster-Son should spend your days together in manual labor. What a beautiful example you set for the working classes!

It was especially for the poor, who compose the greater part of mankind, that Jesus came upon earth, for in the synagogue of Nazareth, He read the words of Isaiah and referred them to Himself: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor…” (Luke 4:18). It was God’s Will that you should be occupied with work common to poor people, that in this way Jesus Himself might ennoble it by inheriting it from you, His foster-father, and by freely embracing it. Thus our Lord teaches us that for the humbler class of workmen, He has in store His richest graces, provided they live content in the place God’s Providence has assigned them, and remain poor in spirit for He said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matt. 5:3).

The kind of work to which you devoted your time in the workshop of Nazareth offered you many occasions of practicing humility. You were privileged to see each day the example of humility which Jesus practiced – a virtue most pleasing to Him. He chose for His earthly surroundings not the courts of princes nor the halls of the learned, but a little workshop of Nazareth. Here you shared for many years the humble and hidden toiling of the God-Man. What a touching example for the worker of today!

While your hands were occupied with manual work, your mind was turned to God in prayer. From the Divine Master, who worked along with you, you learned to work in the presence of God in the spirit of prayer, for as He worked He adored His Father and recommended the welfare of the world to Him, Jesus also instructed you in the wonderful truths of grace and virtue, for you were in close contact with Him who said of Himself, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life.”

As you were working at your trade, you were reminded of the greatness and majesty of God, who, as a most wise Architect, formed this vast universe with wonderful skill and limitless power.

The light of divine faith that filled your mind, did not grow dim when you saw Jesus working as a carpenter. You firmly believed that the saintly Youth working beside you was truly God’s own Son.

Saint Joseph, I thank God for your privilege of being able to work side by side with Jesus in the carpenter shop of Nazareth. As a token of your own gratitude to God, obtain for me the grace to respect the dignity of labor and ever to be content with the position in life, however lowly, in which it may please Divine Providence to place me. Teach me to work for God and with God in the spirit of humility and prayer, as you did, so that I may offer my toil in union with the sacrifice of Jesus in the Mass as a reparation for my sins, and gain rich merit for heaven.

Thank you, yes, I’m also asking for St. Joseph’s intercession. I know that he and Mama Mary is helping me to pray to Jesus Christ for my unemployment. God bless you.

I think that you should try to live the holiness that god is calling you to live.

I have blessed oils that I bought from the churches here.
Maybe you bought a container? Or we have a language difference? Selling a sacramental is an entire different thread. Parishes cannot sell holy water but they can ask to be paid for a fancy bottle that holds holy water.

You have nothing to worry about. The very practice of your Catholic Faith and it’s many sacramental graces will keep you safe. God protects His own. Pray for those still locked in the chains of the occult. You are free! Thanks be to God!

“Spells” have no power outside of the hearer’s belief in them. If I walked up to you on the street and said the same words to you and did whatever else accompanied them, would you think I cast a “spell” on you?

  • Super human strength.
  • Intolerance of religious, especially blessed objects.
  • Speaking languages that have never been taught to the subject.
  • Having access to hidden knowledge, that the subject could not possibly know.
So are there any cases where there is actual evidence of this?

I even let a spell caster to put a spell on me some years ago.
First of all no human spell caster has the power to cast a spell on you. It’s all in your imagination. You don’t need an exorcism, you need to realize how ridiculous your beliefs in voodoo is in the first place.

When I was 18, I OD’ed in my bathroom and was possessed by evil spirit. My family said it was saying “kill” in a voice different than mine, while I was unconscious. My family laid hands on me and prayed, and rebuked the evil in the name of Jesus, and it was CAST OUT! I woke up feeling so fresh and alive, and I was weeping. I am 40 now, and have had a wonderful experience since then growing closer to the Lord, especially via many miracles in life and reading the bible, a lot.

Do you doubt that Jesus has power over these demons? No, you don’t. (Read Daniel 7:13-14)

If you are a believer in Jesus, the Son of God, who was one with God, who died & rose for your sin, and have given your life to Him then have no fear. Pray that He would cast it out. Read the book of Jude, cite verse 9 in which Michael the archangel said “The Lord rebuke you” to Satan. All things, including satan, are bound to it. period. If you still have doubts, go to a Priest or Elders as suggested in other posts so they can lay there hands on you.

However, It is written, in Matt 18:18-19:

18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 “Again[d] I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

We are gathered together in His name, and I agree that any and all evil in and around you should be bound, do you? If so, consider it bound by our Father heavan in the name of Jesus. All things are bound to the scripture / word of God.
