They knew it was a political campaign tactic
Brennan and the U.S. intelligence community knew months prior to the 2016 election that the collusion smear was the result of a campaign operation hatched by the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

“We’re getting additional insight into Russian activites from [REDACTED],” Brennan’s handwritten notes state. “Cite alleged approval by Hillary Clinton–on 26 July–of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisers to villify [sic] Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security services.”

It keeps showily looking as a completely different situation than what the media sold us. But I have no faith on the truth coming out. Notice how many 24/7 head lines this caused. Zero. Nothing to see here. So this is wishful thinking. If it be President Trump, this would be a 27/7 non stop trying to get to the truth.
 
The lack of coverage should not surprise anyone.

If the media were truly about the truth, they would be in favor of bringing everything into the sunlight and let the chips fall where they will.

But no, stuff has to be kept under wraps so the narrative can be kept up.
 
The leftist media would prefer to make up things that Trump said, using “unnamed sources”. As Mike Pence said, they’re entitled to their opinion, but they’re not entitled to their own facts.
 
Whenever people say they have a problem with Trump’s demeanor, what in the world is he supposed to do when the left repeatedly dishonestly and corruptly attacks him?
