Moody was brethren…which has its roots in Wesley’s movement…I have never thought of him as a Methodist persay but perhaps so…
The change is a result of many things. Books have been written on the subject!

Some of the nicest, kindest people I have known are Methodist. Slightly OT, but I used to live near a Methodist church that had a Tongan service, and I used to go sit in the park across the street just to hear them sing. Large men in skirts, singing bass, but it was beautiful.

At the risk of entertaining a troll, I can’t let that statement go unchallenged. My truly darling husband is a Methodist and is SO good that I married him and bore his babies. So there ya go, your generalization is officially disproved.

And don’t expect to get into a long exchange of notes with me as with spocrates. As you can see from my posting record, I don’t get a lot of forum time.

They even eat this “pizza” on fridays despite the fact that it has salami in it! The anti-Christ I tell you!
