Zun my Love will be back to help you. My other dear brothers and sisters in Christ she is just learning the faith. Have mercy on her and help her to understand why we believe what we believe. She has just started RCIA. She like us all has ALOT to learn. We all do remember that. Think how many years we have had to study and still have alot more to do. She is a good kid! But she is in the beginning stage. Lets help her to grow!

No not at all. Zun respects her former faith for the truth that they did teach. Zun LIKE the POPE respects other faiths for the truth that they do teach. But turned to the RCC for the fullness of the truth. But in the process still has alot of love and respect for her former faith. Love you Zun. And will be back next week. Until then will have faith in my Brothers and Sisters in Christ to do Gods work and help to show you will we differ and where we are alike:thumbsup:

NO. Although I do know some Methodists who don’t believe in the existence of Hell, at all which would make them believers in “always saved” without the bother of “once saved.”
But I have also encountered Catholics who believe like that, so I don’t know whether it is an official Methodist belief.

Thank you! I didn’t think this topic was serious anyway. We have some Methodist ministers that frequent CAF from time to time that should not touch this thread with a ten-foot pole. They would be feeding a troll.

Several things to point out I believe:
I think the general reputation of Methodists is that they are nice (ie kicking Bambi).
We are serious about many things (as a parent who has been on work teams and sent his kids on work teams rest assured their is a seriousness to what we do) but doctrinal disputes, expect over the same issues others argue about, are not common.
I would venture to say that Methodist/Catholic relations are very positive. Certainly our joining the recent statement on justification should speak to that. I realize though that since the OP was not United Methodist, they are speaking to an experience elsewhere.
The OP has not said which Methodist denomination they belong to; a link would be helpful.
United Methodists, the largest denomination of Methodists in the US, does not believe in OSAS.
