It is exactly the question. What one confesses to a Catholic priest are not crimes but sins. Sometimes the same act can be both, but they are not synonymous.

Personally, I doubt that anyone has confessed or will confess this crime. They certainly won’t if such a reporting mandate is put in place.

I agree. The focus this issue is attracting far exceeds any benefit the proposed laws could ever deliver.

Will the same reporting obligation apply to a defense lawyer?
