Hello

I am 42, London Irish trying to find his faith his soul.

I am blessed with a family in ireland/kerry who have amazing faith.

But its not something you can teach, I am praying the rosary now, my nanny died at 90 she is the most spiritual person i know, she served the church and prayer for 70 years, she was from bonane in co kerry.

I wont be able to do her service, but I am weak spiritually, caring a curse of Alcholism but have been sick 20 years. I do belive in the internet and the power of people. I am trying to find my soul, i did stay sober for 2 days last 2 days, from praying the rosary with dana,

Just need support there is no miracle, prayer for me and I am a survivor , i id try to kill myself, but was saved my randomness.

Too much

If you read this , I am trying, i am throwing everything out to humanity as I am very feared and scared

Any replies welcome

Praying for your intentions.

Hi Brian. You sound like a great guy. Glad you are here. God saved you for a reason, it wasn’t randomness. He loves you more than you can ever know. That’s what the cross is all about. That’s how much you are worth. God was willing to die for you. Never think you are worthless or don’t matter. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I am praying for you friend. Keep up with the rosary! It really is a life saver. Remember, nothing is impossible with God. He will set you free of your addiction. I know it seems dark right now, but He hasn’t left you. Don’t give up.

God bless!

Persistence is a big part of the solution the solution to every problem. But you gave up on the forum because no one replied in the first 26 minutes?

I don’t know much about alcoholism, but I have had a major addiction that was cured. The solution had three parts:

  1. *]Confession
*]Novena (in my case to the Infant of Prague)
*]Persistence, ie, not giving up even when I failed. Patiently hoping for things to turn around.

i didnt give up on the forum , i was a long time time giving up, this was the last straw

Brian,

I am not in the position to offer you advice. However, if you would like, I will be happy to pray a rosary for you and your intentions. :signofcross::grouphug::signofcross:

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Brian, never give up. When you think of giving up, think of your nanny. She never gave up. I am sure she had problems in her life. Think of her and hang in there.

When you feel alone, God is always with you. He is waiting for you to speak t o him, to ask for His help.

As others have mentioned, go to confession. It will help heal your pain.

Then, join a group that will help hold you accountable, like AA.

And finally, come here as well and talk with us.

Lord, through the intercession of St. Jude, St. Martin, St. Monica and the Blessed Virgin Mary please give your wayward child Brian Kelly a pure heard, a steadfast spirit and Your Godly Wisdom in dealing with the problems in his life and free him from this very heave cross that he carries. We ask this in the name of Our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Praying for you Brian - remember to take one day at a time.

God bless.

Prayer to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots:

Virgin Mary, Mother of fair love, Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of a child in need, Mother whose hands never cease to serve your beloved children because they are moved by the immense love and mercy that exists in your heart, cast your compassionate eyes upon Brian and see the snarl of knots that exist in his life.
You know very well how desperate he is, his pain and how he is bound by these knots.

Mary, Mother to whom God entrusted the undoing of the knots in the lives of his children, I entrust into your hands the ribbon of Brian’s life. No one, not even the evil one himself, can take it away from your precious care. In your hands there is no knot that cannot be undone.

Powerful Mother, by your grace and intercessory power with Your Son and our Liberator, Jesus, take into your hands today this knot of depression and despair in Brian’s life. I beg you to undo it for the glory of God, once for all. Amen.

Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for us

Dear Lord, I do not know what will happen to me today. I only know that nothing will happen that was not foreseen by You, and directed to my greater good from all eternity. I adore Your holy and unfathomable plans, and submit to them with all my heart for love of You, the Pope, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Amen.

Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Brian!!!

You need to develop a friendship with the saint Matt Talbot!
Do you know about him? This is from a website…
Matt was born in Dublin, where his father worked on the docks and had a difficult time supporting his family. After a few years of schooling, Matt obtained work as a messenger for some liquor merchants; there he began to drink excessively. For 15 years—until he was almost 30—Matt was an active alcoholic.
One day he decided to take “the pledge” for three months, make a general confession and begin to attend daily Mass. There is evidence that Matt’s first seven years after taking the pledge were especially difficult. Avoiding his former drinking places was hard. He began to pray as intensely as he used to drink. He also tried to pay back people from whom he had borrowed or stolen money while he was drinking.
Most of his life Matt worked as a builder’s laborer. He joined the Secular Franciscan Order and began a life of strict penance; he abstained from meat nine months a year. Matt spent hours every night avidly reading Scripture and the lives of the saints. He prayed the rosary conscientiously. Though his job did not make him rich, Matt contributed generously to the missions.
After 1923 his health failed, and Matt was forced to quit work. He died on his way to church on Trinity Sunday. Fifty years later Pope Paul VI gave him the title venerable

There’s a great book about him as well… I know for a fact that his intercession and assistance have helped SO many.

It’s nice to cultivate a few friends in heaven. Our Lord Jesus loves it when we turn to him, and he also wants us to love our brothers and sisters.

My patron saints have guided me and helped me through many dark days.

Bless you and keep the faith!
Blessed Matt Talbot, pray for us.
