There are strange things going on at the family Masses these days (people bringing water bottles
What is wrong with bringing a water bottle to Mass? I live in a desert climate, and I am a member of the choir. I always bring a water bottle in case I have a dry throat or a cough. It does not break the fast. I am rather discreet with it. I am not often sitting in the pews, but for long liturgies I will consider bringing water because you need to replenish the mouth which gets dry after 60+ minutes of speaking and singing.

Wow how rude I bring a sandwich and some hard candy with me but I keep it in my purse and I don’t reach for it unless I have a blood sugar drop. I am a type I diabetic but most of the congregation and all the priests including the pastor know that but I also slip out quietly and go down to the social hall to check my blood sugar and to eat a bite if I feel it dropping and Father knows what I am doing but I would never eat a whole meal nor anything else in the pew.

Has nothing to do with Catholic tradition or Catholic custom
