Hello all,

I’m a member of a group of parishioners trying to bring the TLM to the Diocese of Lubbock, TX. If you’re interested and live in or around that area, could you please complete our survey through the link below? If you have any questions, please send them to latinmasslubbock@gmail.com.

Also, feel free to share this link with anyone else who lives in or around that area who would be interested as well. Thank you and please pray for our efforts! :gopray2:

Good luck!

NOTE: a few suggestions if you have a hard time getting a priest(s) to pray the Extraordinary Form every Sunday…
  1. See if you can find a priest to have a Sunday Mass on Saturday night.
  2. If you can’t find a priest or priest rotation for every weekend, perhaps ask the diocese to have a solemn high mass for every/most Holy Days of Obligation.
The our Cathedral, they have a Solemn High Mass for every Holy Day except All Saints Day (they do it on All Souls Day instead), Christmas and Easter.

Thanks for the advice! Fortunately, we have a lot of that covered. I just hope that people who are interested living in the area sign the survey!

Some suggestions…
  1. For a start, you might want to ask a priest to say an OF Mass in Latin. That way regular Mass goers won’t be intimidated by the Latin. Then he can convert it to an EF Mass. That way more people get drawn into the beauty and universality of Latin.
  2. In our diocese (Brownsville TX), we have an FSSP priest in the hospital chaplaincy. He says a weekly EF Mass. He also helps out some local parish with Sunday OF Masses. He also hears confessions (and gives the EF absolution) and the other sacraments. You might want to talk to the diocese about getting a priest from an order that is dedicated to the EF (FSSP etc) into the hospital chaplaincy who is also available for saying Mass and celebrating the sacraments in the EF.
