I didn’t know she was Catholic.

I loved watching the judges faces change during the beginning of that song.

I was about to say she is the new Paul Potts! I see his name has already come up in this thread. 🙂

Yeah!!! Let’s hear it for the church ladies!!!

I didn’t know she was Catholic either! I was hoping, I heard her Father’s name was Patrick Boyle, I thought, oh my, what a very nice Irish Catholic name. Then I heard 9 siblings, but she was from Britain/Scotland, and many of those people are Protestant and are skeptical and sometimes downright mean and hateful toward Catholics, so maybe that attributed to her being bullied? Who knows, who cares, she’s in God’s hands now.

May God Bless her amply!

Being bullied? I don’t remember reading or viewing anything about her being bullied. Where did you hear/read this?

I read where she said she was bullied - and that she had alot of sibblings… but where does she say she’s Catholic?

I have been thinking what a very wonderful thing and transcedent for the world if Susan chose the Ave Maria as one of her songs. Would they even let her do that? Just imagine the look on everyone’s face when she finished that Song!!!

Check out Andrew Johnston. Last year he auditions by singing Pie Jesu and come in at the top three. He is a Catholic Choir boy.

Her surname is Boyle, one of nine children, her parents names were Bridget and Patrick. She has to be Catholic!

I think she must be on some sort of disability because of her medical condition

‘’ Boyle’s hardscrabble story has only added to the emotional tug of her tale.

The youngest of nine children of a devout Roman Catholic family, she grew up in one of Scotland’s most deprived areas, a district blighted by unemployment, crime and social problems. The area has suffered since the local British Leyland car plant shut down in the 1980s. ‘’
Thanks. 👍

(A Bit Rough & Though)
The only thing that matters is , she has an incredible voice ,
she has sung more things in the past in which she has proven
she’s incredible , i love her voice 🙂
Hopefully she will not dissapear in the overcommercialization ,
that would not be good !!
But anyway , she does deserve to be succesful , without any doubt 👍

Salute & Cheers from a NON BELIEVER:

Susan is indeed such a wonderful singer.

That is indeed the case. Although Scotland, especially the west of Scotland, has a large Irish Catholic community whose roots stem from the mass exodus during the Irish Famine. We didn’t all go to America, you know ;):p!
